Process to improve the James River water quality moving slowly

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Improving the flow and water quality of the James River is a slow process.

Dave Bartel, Manager of the James River Water Development District, says conditions change every year.

Bartel says some stretches of the river has had flood conditions this year.

Bartel says they are seeing water quality improve.

The district received five million dollars in federal ARPA dollars to continue working on river improvements.
