ABERDEEN, S.D. (aberdeennews.com) – Folks who are used to music past midnight at the Brown County Fair might have an adjustment this year.
Fair Manager Derek Ricci told Brown County Commissioners Tuesday about a proposal to establish quiet hours from midnight to 7 a.m. That would mean live music on the grounds and music throughout the campgrounds would have to stop at midnight.
Commissioners discussed the proposal at their regular meeting at the courthouse and asked that Ricci review contracts to ensure the proposal wouldn’t be a conflict.
Ricci said contracts currently allow for drinks to be served until 1 a.m., and that will not change.
