Public Utilities Commission chairman commets on co2 pipeline request by Summit

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The application and approval process for Summit Carbon Solutions proposed carbon dioxide pipeline will apparently stretch on.

South Dakota Public Utilities Chairman Chris Nelson says there is no deadline for the pipeline company to submit their information.

Nelson says they are watching as more information is delivered to them.

Summit Carbon Solutions is proposing a pipeline that would transport liquid carbon dioxide from ethanol plants in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and South Dakota to an underground storage site in North Dakota.
