PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will hold another hearing at their meeting Thursday on the application of Summit Carbon Solutions for a carbon dioxide pipeline under eastern counties of the state.
PUC Chairman Chris Nelson says the groundwork for this hearing came from public meetings.
Nelson says a lot of parties want to be involved in the application process.
Nelson says those granted party status have the same standing as the pipeline company.
Summit Carbon Solutions wants to pipe liquid carbon dioxide from ethanol plants in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota to underground storage in central North Dakota.
