PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will have a very busy summer and fall with hearings on carbon dioxide pipeline applications. Navigator hearings will start in July with Summit Carbon Solutions scheduled for September.

Commissioner Chris Nelson says all sides are doing detail work.

Nelson says they have to follow legal guidelines in any application.

Nelson says they expect a massive number of documents to be filed.

Nelson says state law on permitting pipelines has no reference to the material being carried.
