YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota legislative session is down to the final four days of the main run. The budget will be the final bill passed. Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says she doesn’t know what the spending levels will be.
Hunhoff, a member of the Joint Appropriations Committee, says there will be changes and some surprises to the end.
Governor Kristi Noem recommended no increases for schools, state employees or Medicaid providers. Hunhoff says most legislators want to do something for those three.
The legislature returns to Pierre for one final day on March 30.
