BROOKINGS, S.D. (KBRK)-

Among many items on next week’s election ballot is the race for State Commissioner of School and Public Lands.

Raeann Mettler is seeking the position and says it’s an important elected office.

She says her scientific background uniquely qualifies her.

Mettler would like to apply those skills towards public land management.

Mettler is running against the incumbent Secretary Brock Greenfield.
