RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- With snow melting and tourists returning, so too returns the risk of wildland fires.
Tessa Jaeger, public information officer for the Rapid City Fire Department, said little has changed regarding the drought situation.
Jaeger said with fire season upon us – now is the time to start taking preventative measures.
Looking back on the last year, Jaeger said.
The Rapid City Fire Department is currently training a class of four new firefighters, and plans to host a second academy this autumn.
