RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- Last weekend was the annual South Dakota Association of Meat Processors convention, held this year in Rapid City.

Jon Frohling, board member for SDAMP, explained who comes to the convention and why.

Frohling said meat processors noticed a surprising trend through Covid.

Ken Charfauros (Char-for-us) is with Wall Meat and is a director for SDAMP, and said there are benefits to buying local.

Along with various class choices, attendees participated in the groups’ annual meeting, spoke with suppliers in booths, and received a tour of Ellsworth AFB.
