RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- Last week saw major law enforcement activity in north Rapid City.
Brendyn Medina, spokesperson for the Rapid City Police Department, said with such a large response they want to clarify what happened.
Medina shared the police point-of-view when it comes to people with open warrants.
Ultimately, the “gun” was ditched and recovered by officers, who found it was in fact a BB gun.
Medina said police are trained to respond take anything that could be a firearm seriously.
Medina said it was a “high-priority” to safely get this suspect to get into custody.
