RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- Four members of the Rapid City Police Department have received promotions into command positions, according to community relations specialist Brendyn Medina

Medina said the character of the promoted officers, Captain Scott Sitts, Sgt. Kelvin (Mose-ur)Masur, Sgt. Darren (Sue-see)Soucy, and Detective Andrew Kimbell, will be “healthy change” for agency leadership.

Medina said the new promotions coming from within RCPD reflects a positive culture from the agency.

Medina broke down the new roles and assignments.

Frequently, according to Medina, command positions are hired from officers within the RCPD system.
