Recap of 2nd day of open testimony in the committee dealing with Ravnsborg impeachment

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Two members of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation were the focus of the second day of testimony before members of the South Dakota House Select Committee on Investigation.  The Committee is weighing the possible impeachment of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg for his conduct involving the death of Joe Boever of Highmore.  Representative Mike Stevens asked Special Agent Joe Arenz about his interviews with Hyde County Sheriff Mike Volek.  Arenz says Volek never mentioned a flashlight in the first interview.

Arenz confronted Ravnsborg during a second interview about data pulled from Ravnsborg’s cell phone that he should have seen Boever’s body.

Arenz also address differences between Ravnsborg’s first interview and second.  Representative Ryan Cwach.

The Committee questioned Arenz and Supervisory Special Agent Arnie Rummel for nearly two and a half hours.
