Recap of Brown County Commission Debate

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The League of Women Voters & the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce hosted the Brown County Commission Debate at the K.O. Lee Library on Saturday.  Candidates are the incumbent Duane Sutton, & challengers Kyler Dinger & Michael Carlsen.

Candidates were asked about their top priorities for Brown County.

They were asked about their stance on the ordinance in place dealing with the 1500 foot setback for CO2 pipeline & whether they support the referendum repealing SB201(local control).

Relations between the Brown County Sheriff’s Office & the Aberdeen Police Department has been shaky at times.  The candidates were asked if there anyway the Commission can get more involved to try to improve those relations.

Republican Primary is Tuesday, June 4th.  Early voting is now underway.
