ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, Congressman Dusty Johnson made a stop in Aberdeen & appeared on the KSDN Midday Report.
Johnson before coming to Aberdeen spoke to students in Miller. About one year ago was a devasting fire that forced the students to finish the school year at other locations. Johnson gave upside on the school.
Congressman Johnson today introduced the American Works Act dealing with requirements for the SNAP program.
Johnson explains some loopholes states are using to work around the SNAP program.
Johnson’s bill is pushing to raise the age from 49 to 65 for those able to work to qualify for SNAP.
Johnson doesn’t expect his bill by itself to pass Congress, but would like to see it in the House version of the upcoming Farm Bill.
Congressman Johnson is on the Select Committee on China. he discussed something new that he’s learned from their first meeting almost two weeks ago.
