Recap of District 3 Senate Candidate Forum

The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters hosted the District 3 Senate Candidate Forum on Saturday at the K.O.Lee Public Library.  The candidates are the incumbent Senator Carl Perry and challenger Katie Washnok.

The main questions asked in the thirty minute forum was on economic development.

Senator Perry talks about attending meetings in Aberdeen to get the feel of what’s happening.

Perry addressed what the legislature can do to address data centers.

Washnok believe Aberdeen is a great location to start a business in.

Washnok also address the legislature’s role in regard to data centers.

Another topic discussed in the forum was campaign financing.

Absentee voting is happening now.  The primary takes place on Tuesday, June 2nd.
