ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Saturday, the League of Women Voters and the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce hosted the District 3 Senate Debate between Carl Perry & Katie Washnok at the K.O. Lee Library.
Each candidate talks about their priorities for how they would improve the city of Aberdeen.

Both candidates expressed their takes on whether they would support the repeal of the grocery tax that could be on the ballot in November.

Both candidates also discuss the issue of the referendum looking to repeal SB201 dealing with local control.

Both candidates were asked about medical marijuana that could be repealed if the measure makes it to the 2024 general election.

Both candidates were asked if the abortion amendment does make it to the ballot and is passed by the voters, would they accept the will of the people.

One issue that there was a difference of opinion was on the issue of conventions going forward & whether voters should be allowed to vote for their Attorney General & Secretary of State’s Office.
