PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, Governor Kristi Noem held a press briefing updating some of the issues being discussed by the South Dakota Legislature.
Governor Noem provide an update on bills dealing with Critical Race Theory.
Another issue the governor talked about was updates on the budget that Noem & the legislators are working on.
Noem talks about the anticipated revenues coming in for December.
Governor Noem talks about the impact inflation is having in South Dakota.
Governor Noem addressed the latest on the money needed to set aside for the prison system.
Governor Noem also address the issue expanding Medicaid which could be voted on by the citizens of South Dakota as well as legislators in Pierre.
Governor Noem was asked about her potential opponent for Governor in the November election, the Democrat Jamie Smith.
Because of the issue of her abortion bill not getting a hearing with the South Dakota House State Affairs Committee, the governor was asked about her relationship with leadership in the South Dakota legislature.
Governor Noem also addressed the Fairness in Women’s Sports bill she signed just prior to the press conference.
