PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem delivered her State of the State Address.  The theme of address talked about things in the Declaration of Independence:  Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Happiness.

Governor Noem first talked about the state being in great shape heading into this year.

Governor Noem talks about how the state has handled the pandemic compared to other locations.

The first part of the address dealt with life.

Governor Noem address the issue of abortion in the state of South Dakota.

Governor Noem talks about health care issues especially in the rural communities.

Governor Noem talks about cannabis program that started up last year.

Next group deals with liberty.

Governor Noem proposing putting a moment of silence at the start of the school day.

Governor Noem updated the legislature about the state’s economy.

Because of the surplus, Governor Noem proposes the following suggestion.

Governor Noem address the Biden administration vaccine mandate and she believe the state should do.

Finally she detailed the pursuit of happiness in the 3rd part of the speech.

Governor Noem addressed the fairness in womens sports.

Governor Noem express concerns about what is being taught in schools.

Governor Noem talks about what type of civics that should be taught.

Governor Noem closed her speech by saying this.
