ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  At Monday night’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council received a report on the annual review of Open Meeting Laws from Aberdeen City Attorney Ron Wager(Wag-er).

Wager remind the council that this is done on a yearly basis.

Wager talks about some of the changes for 2025.

Wager discuss making sure the agenda are released to the media in advance.

Wager also go over what to do during executive sessions.

This report has been turned in to the Finance Office to be put on record.

At the end of the meeting, Aberdeen City Manager Robin Bobzien addressed some key issues.  Bobzien went over the inspection done by the FAA to the Aberdeen Regional Airport.

Bobzien also discuss the upcoming 2026 city budget.

Two agenda items scheduled for Monday night were postposed to later dates.  One involve a report on the Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau and the other involving an ordinance dealing with animals in vehicles.
