ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council held their on Monday night & addressed several different issues.

During the Open Forum, Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Casey Weismantel wanted to praise the city following last weekend’s State B Boys Basketball Tournament.

Weismantel wanted to thank NSU for their accomodations & SDPB for their coverage.

Councilwoman Erin Fouberg shared a story about what some people were saying about the event.(1:05)

Another topic discussed was an update on the potential for a splash pad at Wylie Park from Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Director Mark Hoven.

Hoven explain where the splash pad would be located at.

They hope to have ready sometime in 2025.

Another issue discussed was UJS(United Judicial System).  Aberdeen City Manager Robin Bobzien explain this is a unique situation here in town.

Bobzien explain this will go beyond just safety for the courts but also the building as a whole.

City Council approved it unanimously.
