ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council held their meeting on Monday night. The main focus of the meeting was a number of payment requests in connection with the Public Works Department.
Civil Engineer Technician Joe Fitz went over each of those. The first one dealt with transmission line and for the new water tower in Aberdeen.
Fitz next discussed a payment request for the project on North Dakota Street and the dusting that goes along with that.
The third request deal with concrete needed for the remainder of the season.
The final request is for the work that was done for the 10th Avenue Bridge.
The four payments combined was around two million dollars and was improved by the council.
During the City Manager Report, City Manager Dave McNeil and Aberdeen Police Chief Tanner Jondahl discussed the storms that hit the region on Sunday.
They hope to have the sirens working once the part arrives.
