SPEARFISH, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Board of Regents reorganized and elected new officers at their meeting this week at Black Hills State University.
Regents selected Pam Roberts to lead the board, replacing John Bastian, who remains on the board.
Roberts says she has worked with leadership for several years.
Roberts says the Regents have a good team in place.
Roberts says the universities got a big financial boost from Governor Noem and the legislature this year.
Roberts was appointed to the Board by former Governor Dennis Daugaard in 2016.
At their meeting at Black Hills State University in Spearfish this week, Communications Director Janelle Toman updated the Board on the outcomes.
Toman says the universities will get a big increase in funding this year.
Toman says the institutions were also successful in raising money on their own.
Toman was honored by the board for more than twenty years of service. She will be retiring next month.
