WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- Senator Mike Rounds appeared on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss the Inflation Reduction Act as well as the issue of abortion in the state of South Dakota.
Senator Rounds explains his opposition of the reconciliation bill.
Senator Rounds talks about how increasing taxes on corporations will have a trickle down effect to the consumers.
Senator Rounds address the issue of federal government getting involved in prescription drug prices.
The bill ended up passing the U.S. Senate on 50-50 vote with Vice President Harris breaking the tie in favor. The bill now moves on to the U.S. House.
This Week host George Stephanopoulos asked Senator Rounds his reaction to the abortion vote that took place last week in Kansas keeping abortion in place there & how that could impact South Dakota.
Stephanopoulos also asked if Senator Rounds would support Donald Trump if he choose to run again in 2024. Rounds didn’t offer an official endorsement but did recommend that the former President wait until after the 2022 elections to make it official.
