PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Sunday, Senator Mike Rounds appeared on ABC’s This Week.  Rounds address a number of different topics during the program.

Senator Rounds was asked about Kash Patel, President-elect Trump’s choice to be the new FBI Director.

If Patel is confirmed by the U.S. Senate, he would replace current FBI Director Christopher Wray who still would have two years remaining.  Senator Rounds assess his performance so far.

FBI Director’s term is suppose to last ten years.

Next topic was the issue of potential tariffs to be put in place in Mexico, Canada, and China.  Senator Rounds talks about why he believes Trump is looking to put these tariffs in place.

Rounds discuss how people he spoke to in South Dakota react to these tariffs.

The final topic discussed is Ukraine’s war with Russia.  Senator Rounds believe Trump’s plan to negotiate with Russian President Vladimar Putin to end this war will be a difficult task.

Rounds discuss how the Biden Administration has handled the war.

Rounds continue to emphasize the President Putin can’t be trusted.

President-elect Trump will take over the office on January 20th, 2025.
