Recap of Senator Thune’s appearance on Fox News Sunday

WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- Fox News Sunday’s host Shannon Breem did a pre-recorded interview with U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune which aired on Sunday.  Interview focused on two different topics.

President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill:

Bream asked Senator Thune about the Democrats and the Congressional Budget Office’s concerns.

Thune reminds everyone if the Trump Tax Cut passed in 2017 isn’t done by the end of the year, that taxes will go up.

Bream also asked about concerns some Republicans in the Senate has with this bill.  One concern is the impact on the deficit.

Thune also addressed the issue of the SALT tax.

Thune is optimistic that they will get the bill done by the Fourth of July.

Israel’s attack on Iran:

Bream asked Senator Thune’s reactions to Israel’s attack on Iran last week.

Thune also sent a message to Iran if they choose to attack Americans or American bases in the Middle East.

The interview was conducted prior to the attacks on Minnesota legislators in their homes on Saturday with Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband passing away.

“Horrified at the events unfolding in Minnesota. Kimberley and I are praying for the loved ones of the state lawmaker and her husband who were assassinated and the state senator and his wife who were also injured in this assassination attempt.  Political violence has no place in our nation.”
