ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday night, the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce & the Aberdeen League of Women Voters held the Aberdeen School Board Forum. Candidates were the incumbent Duane Alm & candidates Dr Gayle Bortnem & Mike Bockorny.
One of the first topics discussed was the potential for teacher shortage in the city.

Dr, Gayle Bortnem:
A story broke this week dealing with a teacher in Watertown sending a letter to students regarding gender identity. The candidates offered responses to it.
Dr. Gayle Bortnem:
Governor Noem recently signed an executive order dealing with the issue of divisive concept or critical race theory. All 3 candidates expressed their views on the executive order.
The three candidates are vying for two open positions.
On Thursday will be the final Candidate Forum. This forum deals with candidates for the Aberdeen City Council seats in the NE, NW, & SE.
