Recap of the Alzheimer’s Association seminar held Wednesday in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, the South Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association held an educational seminar at the Aberdeen Senior Center.  The title was “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia”.  The main focus was show the differences between Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia.

Program Director for South Dakota Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association, Michelle Kutner talks about how many people are diagnosed in Alzheimer’s.

Kutzer talks how about a misconception about the issue of memory loss which is a symptom of Alzheimer’s.

Kutzer runs down symptoms of dementia and reminds the people that Alzheimer’s is just one type of dementia.

Kutzer talks about how important it is to detect Alzheimer’s as early as possible.
