ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Toward the end of the Aberdeen City Council meeting, Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil delivered his City Manager Report.  The report addressed several different topics.

One topic was updates on a number of road construction projects happening around the city.

Aberdeen Public Works Director Erik Thorstenson updated the council on the progress made on the sinkhole on North First and Penn Street caused by the heavy rains on July 7th.

Aberdeen Assistant City Engineer Destin Spellman updated on the roadwork on North Dakota Street near Holgate Middle School.

Aberdeen’s new City Engineer Leif Redinger updated the council on the progress made along 8th Ave NE and the water tower near 3M.

Redinger updated the east west traffic.

Redinger informed the council that the north south part near the railroad tracks have been halted for safety reasons.

Redinger also updated the progress made on that water tower near 3M.

McNeil next talked about previewing the 2027 budget on August 3rd council meeting.

McNeil wants to do a work session prior to the August 17th meeting to address electronic license plate reading device.

The work session will begin at 4pm on the 17th.
