PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The summer study dealing with regional jails & correctional facilities held its fourth meeting on Tuesday in Pierre.  Let’s hear from people within our region talking about what happened.

Brown County & Aberdeen lobbyist Julie Johnson talks about ways the city is trying to be creative with regards to our jail.

Johnson talks about getting help for juveniles.

Johnson talks about getting a twenty million dollar investment for the regional jail.

Johnson discuss what the city will do with the one time investment.

At the end of the meeting, we heard comments from legislators about what plans they can do for next year legislature.

Representative Carl Perry said this issue is a statewide issue.

Senator Bryan Breitling of Miller talks about how much money will be in the regional jail fund.

Senator Al Novstrup talks about why the counties are where they are at today.

The committee might have one more meeting before the end of the year.
