ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The South Dakota Democrats hosted their fourth and final town hall in this cycle at the K.O.Lee Library on Monday night. The feature speakers were the potential U.S. Senate candidate Julian Beaudion(Bo-Do-Won) and Nikki Gronli who worked in the USDA under President Biden’s administration.
Gronli talked about the purpose of these forums.
Citizens of Aberdeen asked questions on a variety of topics happening in Washington.
Gronli was asked how tariffs would impact various industries from farming to marketing.
Gronli talked about Republicans being forced to follow President Trump’s agenda.
Gronli addressed voters suppression and specifically the SAVE Act that’s going through Congress.
Beaudion was asked about bipartisanship or working with Republicans on issues.
Beaudion was asked about potential cuts on VA(Veterans Administration).
Beaudion talks about the people respresenting South Dakota in Washington.
One bill Senator Mike Rounds is working on is eliminating the Department of Education. One program that could be impacted is Headstart. Beaudion address that.
Beaudion also addressed the issue of misinformation and talks about how Democrats can do a better job of communicating their message to the public.
Their plan is gather information from the public in the town halls to send to the members representing South Dakota in D.C.
