ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Due to the Labor Day observance Monday, the Aberdeen City Council held their meeting Tuesday night. A number of different topics were discussed.
Aberdeen City Manager Joseph Gaa talked about the upcoming 2022 budget which was discussed during the special sessions.
City Finance Officer Karl Alberts talked about the budget connected to Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, & Forestry.
Mayor Travis Schaunaman named the members of the redistricting committee to help setup the districts for the city of Aberdeen.
Another topics discussed is the potential of making Main Street in downtown Aberdeen a two-lane road. Councilwoman Tiffany Langer praised the Aberdeen Downtown Association and city engineer Robin Bobzien for getting this started.
Gaa discuss the ways the public can offer feedback regarding this topic.
The next city council meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 20th.
