ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission held their weekly meeting on Tuesday. Here’s some highlights of what took place.
The Brown County Commission approved liquor licenses for the Brown County Fair Foundation for their upcoming events in March. This will be used for the Hall of Fame banquet on March 23rd & the Tracy Byrd concert on March 29th. The commission also approved liquor licenses for the Foundation for the Dacotah Stampede Rodeo that will happen on August 12th & 13th as part of Brown County Fair week. This marks the first year they have been approved for the event.
The Brown County Commission officially signed the contract with North Central Steel for over $500,000 to work on replacing the roof at the Holum Expo building.
The Brown County Commission approved new appointments to the Brown County Fair Board and granted contracts for the use of golf carts & grandstand cleaning for Brown County Fair week.
Aaron Dosch and Terry Nash replace Mike Nehls and Joni Napton, both of whom voluntarily resigned their spots.
Randy and Stephanie Mages are no longer members of the fair board, Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton said after the meeting.
The Brown County Commission received bids from Brown County Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers on various materials needed for work on the highways.(i.e. road oil, gravel, asphalt, etc.)
