PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX & KCCR)- South Dakota legislators on a special House Committee considering the impeachment of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg spent several hours questioning the investigation of that fatal car – pedestrian crash in September of 2020. Ravnsborg pled no contest to misdemeanor charges in connection with the death of Joe Boever.
John Daily of Jackson Hole Scientific Investigations trained many of the law enforcement officers who investigated the fatal pedestrian crash the Attorney General was in that killed Joe Boever of Highmore in September of 2020. Daily independently reviewed in the investigation and agreed with many of the findings.
John Berndt, a traffic reconstruction expert with the Highway Patrol, told the committee where they found accident evidence.
Berndt detailed how they followed that evidence.
Berndt says they don’t have all the answers.
Committee Chairman, House Speaker Spencer Gosch said their work will continue.
The committee has one more day of public testimony today and may hold more hearings at a later date.
