PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, the South Dakota Department of Health provided the latest update regarding COVID-19.

State epidemiologist Joshua Clayton talked about some of the variants associated with COVID.

South Dakota is now over 50% fully vaccinated.  Secretary of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdon wanted to thank the citizens for accomplishing this feat.

Today, the CDC officially authorized anyone from 12-15 years old can now get the Pfizer vaccine. In the state of South Dakota, there are over 48,000 between the ages of 12-15.  Malsam-Rysdon talks how important for young people to get the vaccination when available.
