Record already set for absentee voting in Brown County

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Election Day is one week away, but many residents of Brown County have already submitted their ballots.

Cathy McNickle, Brown County Auditor, says people have turned out in record numbers.

There has been speculation nationwide that results will take a bit longer to process because of all the early voting, but McNickle that shouldn’t be an issue locally.

There will be three vote centers in Aberdeen open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3: the AmericInn Event Center, Ramkota Convention Center and the Brown County Courthouse. There will also be eight other vote centers located throughout the county. As long as people reside in the county, they can vote at any of the 11 locations.

Voting is currently taking place in the basement of the Brown County Courthouse. All people need is a valid drivers license.
