PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Three Drug Enforcement Administration members have been riding motorcycles across the five-state Omaha region this week to mark Red Ribbon week. Special Agent In Charge with the Omaha Division of D-E-A Steven Bell says the ride has gone well.
Bell says as they’ve arrived a state Capitols in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota, people have been taking interest in the ride.
Bell says education is key component of the Red Ribbon Ride.
Red Ribbon Week began in remembrance of Special Agent Enrique “KiKi” Camarena who was kidnapped, tortured and killed by Mexican drug cartels in 1985. The ride ends Thursday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
