Regents dealing with major issues

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has forced South Dakota universities to produce online classes to end the spring semester and raises questions for the future.

Outgoing Board of Regents President Kevin Schieffer says they are dealing with a major threat.

Schieffer says they will have to have some in depth discussions.

The Regents announced they would freeze tuition for the coming academic year. Schieffer says they will need more than that.

Schieffer has been president for the past two years and will stay on the board for the next two years of his term.
