SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – The Community College of Sioux Falls will launch this fall, replacing the University Center, which has had sagging enrollment for most of the last 10 years.
South Dakota Board of Regents President Kevin Schieffer says the new college has to financially stand on its own.
The new facility will be a college under the University of South Dakota. Schieffer says that covers the budget.
Schieffer says USD President Sheila Gestring has the background to get the college on solid financial footing.
The launch of the new college was questioned by several lawmakers on the Government Operations & Audit Committee who asked for more financial information.
