Regents look at Governor’s proposed budget

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – During their final meeting of the year last week, the South Dakota Board of Regents reviewed Governor Kristi Noem’s budget speech and their place in it.

Vice President for Finance Heather Forney had details for the Board.

Regent Pam Roberts says she had hoped they would get more attention in the speech.

Regent Randy Schaefer says there will be a lot of competition for the one time money that the legislature will appropriate.

The Regents will next meet in March to review legislative action and start their planning for the next academic year.
