YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Board of Regents voted to increase tuition at state universities next fall by 3.4 percent.
Board President Kevin Schieffer says they wait until the legislature wraps up to see what type of state dollars they can work with.
Schieffer says they left more cuts on the table.
Schieffer says it is a difficult process.
Schiffer says as tuition has increased, the burden of their operating budget falls more and more on students.
