Regents receive input from presidents about face masks on campuses

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Board of Regents approved a policy that would require face masks be worn in most public areas on the six state university campuses.

Regents Executive Director Brian Maher says he has had a lot of input from the presidents.

Maher says they will work with federal and state guidelines.

The policy uses a tiered approach, with level one the least restrictive, up to the most restrictive level four.

Maher says he recommends a starting point.

Level three would require face masks in all public indoor areas on campuses.
