ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Avera Health began accepting homemade masks a couple of weeks ago to help medical workers in the fight against COVID-19.

Amy Blackstone, Avera Foundation Director, is grateful for the outpouring of support. She said the need remains high.

Mask patterns can be found at multiple sites. Blackstone said that people have been creative and resourceful.

Blackstone said that the entire region has gotten involved in the project.

Masks can be dropped off in a specific location that is not in a clinic setting.
