LESTERVILLE, S.D.(WNAX)- The impending construction of carbon dioxide pipelines across counties in eastern South Dakota has created some issues with landowners.

Representative Julie Auch of Lesterville says property rights have been diluted.

Auch says its not necessarily about the pipelines.

Auch says the ethanol industry would survive without the CO2 pipelines.

Auch has been taking part in public meetings organized to oppose those pipelines.

Navigator and Summit Carbon Solutions have separate applications for their pipelines before the PUC.
