Bartels said changes are needed to update what assisted nursing homes can do. He says they need to find a new method of delivery for long term care.

He says Governor Noem is recommending $5 million in innovation grants for nursing homes and $1 million in innovation grants for prenatal care.

Bartels serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
