YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators are taking a break before returning to Pierre on March 27th for the final day of the 2023 session.
District 18 Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says it was a very productive session so far.
Stevens says there is concern about the state economy over the long term.
The state budget includes a seven percent increase in state aid to education. Stevens says that had been one of his goals.
Governor Kristi Noem has vetoed three bills so far.
