YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota House Speaker Spencer Gosch has appointed eight members to a committee that will determine if and how the House will proceed with impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.

One of those appointed is Representative Mike Stevens of  Yankton. He says they have few guidelines.

Stevens says there is very little legal guidance for them.

Stevens says no matter the opinions, the process has to be fair.

The House meets in special session next Tuesday to consider the possible impeachment. After the committee is officially approved, the House will recess the special session and return as necessary to consider a possible bill of impeachment. If that is approved, the trial would be held in the Senate twenty days later.
