HURON, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota legislators passed bills this session that will use two hundred million dollars for loans and grants for housing infrastructure.
Representative Roger Chase of Huron says they have been getting interest from around the state.
Chase says he expects the program will be tweaked from year to year.
Chase chaired the summer study last year that came up with many of the bills that were introduced this year. He says they need to get the programs implemented.
Chase says the rules for the various loan and grant programs will have to be written and approved between now and July first.
