Representative Tony Venhuizen talks about his return to Pierre as a legislator

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- One of the freshman members of the South Dakota House is a veteran of many years in state government.

District 13 Representative Tony Venhuizen of Sioux Falls was the Chief of Staff for both Governor Dennis Daugaard and Governor Kristi Noem. He say it is interesting to change places in Pierre.

Venhuizen will be a member of the Appropriations Committee and says the budget is the focus.

Venhuizen says they will continue to see very strong state revenues this year.

Venhuizen was most recently a member of the Board of Regents. He resigned before taking his oath of office for the state House.
