Republican Convention gets underway today in Watertown

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio & DRGNews)- The South Dakota Republican Convention gets underway today in Watertown.  That will run through Saturday.

Senator Michael Rohl will be a delegate at the convention & talks about what’s happening today.

Rohl talks about what could be a tight race for Republican nomination for Secretary of State.

First term republican Senator Bryan Breitling from Miller thinks the impeachment of Jason Ravnsborg will cause some to reexamine what values the party’s nominees should reflect.

Senator Rohl talks about when the votes themselves will take place.

During the convention, republicans will decide who their candidates will be for Lieutenant Governor, Public Utilities Commissioner, Attorney General, State Auditor, State Treasurer, Secretary of State and Commissioner of School and Public Lands. The gathering runs through Saturday.
