ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- Back in September of 2025, South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced his candidacy for the U.S. House seat.
Jackley spent time speaking with voters at the Brown County Fair last week. On Monday, he spoke with KSDN about his campaign.
He talked about what he’s been hearing from voters all across the state.
Jackley mentioned the budget deficit that is now approaching forty trillion dollars. He talked about he would address that.
Jackley did acknowledged in the interview that both political parties are equally responsible for the deficit.
If elected, Jackley is looking to serve on committees dealing with judiciary and agriculture issues.
Jackley also discussed how the November elections will impact the way he will work in D.C. if elected.
Jackley will take on Democrat Nikki Gronli in the November elections.
